Why you need a mobile truck to do your live recording!

With the bad economy suddenly 1) $$$ becomes the only factor & 2) Anybody who has protools rig suddenly thinks they are mobile recording experts.

This is troubling & frustrating to mobile truck operators who just that just want to provide you an excellent recording and put a roof over their heads. What if anybody that wanted went out and bought a dental drill and suddenly called themselves dentists...would you go to them? Yet they're doing the same thing in audio!

Buying a piece of equipment doesn't make you a mobile recording expert any more than buying a wrench makes you a plumber! When you hire a mobile truck, even if it isn't me, you get a professional that does just mobile recording.

You may think you're saving $$$ by doing it yourself or having a studio do it, but you will pay more in the end than just hiring a mobile recording truck from the beginning. Think about it...the worse the live recording sounds, the more $$$ they get to make in overdubs "fixing" it up! It's a scam!

Our mobile truck provides the following advantages:

An engineer with 25 years experience doing only mobile recording. Not studio stuff. No PA system. Not a dentist either.
A stable, isolated environment so you can hear exactly what's going to tape. Professionals know you can't do that inside a noisy venue.
Dedicated Hard Drive Recorders. Protools(tm) is great for the studio, but crashes all the time on the road. Don't be a victim! We'll give you time-stamped broadcast .wav files that import easily into protools, but also into other programs as well. Record protools and you have no other options for mixing...
A complete redundant backup recording on DA88 tape. Professionals know that hard drives can crash. Any hard drive. Only amateurs record without a backup.
Our truck provides uninterruptible power supplies for everything. Professionals know accidents can & do happen, so if a power cord gets yanked the show still gets recorded.
Good mics! We use our own mics and not the PA mics, which are frequently of low quality. Professionals know the mic is the most important part of the audio chain!
